Part 107 ACS Codes: Look Up Any Code

ACS codes come from the FAA Airman Certification Standards for remote pilots. Each code marks one knowledge element of the Part 107 test. Your Airman Knowledge Test Report lists the codes of the knowledge areas you missed, so you know what to review. Find your code in the full list below.

How to read an ACS code

Every code follows the same pattern. Take UA.I.E.K13 as an example:

  • UA means the remote pilot (unmanned aircraft) ACS.
  • I is the Roman numeral of the Area of Operation, here Regulations.
  • E is the letter of the Task, here Operations Over People.
  • K13 is knowledge element 13, here Declaration of Compliance (DoC).
  • A small letter after the number, like K1a, marks a sub-element.

Common questions

What is an ACS code on the Part 107 test?

An ACS code identifies one knowledge element of the FAA Airman Certification Standards for remote pilots (FAA-S-ACS-10B). Each test question is tied to a code, so the code tells you exactly which topic a question covers.

Where do I find my ACS codes?

After the knowledge test you receive an Airman Knowledge Test Report. It lists the ACS codes of the knowledge areas you missed. Look each code up on this page to see its official wording.

What does UA.I.E.K13 mean?

UA.I.E.K13 is in the remote pilot ACS (UA), Area of Operation I Regulations, Task E Operations Over People, knowledge element 13: Declaration of Compliance (DoC). It is one of the most frequently missed codes in the FAA's reports.

How many ACS codes are there for the remote pilot test?

The remote pilot ACS has 176 knowledge elements in 5 Areas of Operation and 17 Tasks. All of them are listed on this page.

How should I study a missed ACS code?

Open the task of the missed code on this page and read its references, such as the FAA study guide or AC 107-2. Then answer practice questions on that topic until the answers feel clear.
