This privacy policy applies to the mobile app Part 107 Prep for iOS and Android. A separate privacy policy for this website applies to the website.

2. Our approach: local first
This app is built to work without collecting personal data. There is no user account, no registration, no advertising, and no tracking SDK. Everything you produce while studying stays on your device.
3. Data stored locally on your device
Your study progress, answer statistics, streaks, bookmarks, test date and settings are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We have no access to this data. Deleting the app deletes this data.
4. Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple, Google)
In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. To recognize your purchase across reinstalls, the app uses the service RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), which processes an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID and purchase receipt data. This ID does not identify you personally and is not linked to your name or email. Legal basis where the GDPR applies: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
5. Support emails
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (email address, message content, and, if you use the in-app contact option, app version, platform and your anonymous support ID) solely to handle your request. Legal basis where the GDPR applies: legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. No tracking, no advertising
The app contains no analytics, advertising, or social-media SDKs and sets no tracking identifiers. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
7. International transfers
Purchase processing via Apple, Google and RevenueCat may involve servers in the United States. These providers have committed to appropriate safeguards for international data transfers under their respective privacy programs.
8. Retention
Locally stored study data remains on your device until you delete it (Settings → Reset progress, or by uninstalling the app). Support emails are retained only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-ups, and are then deleted.
9. Your privacy rights
Where the GDPR applies, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of California and certain other US states have comparable rights under applicable state privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information, noting that we do not sell personal information. 10. Children's privacy
The app is directed at people preparing for an FAA certification (minimum testing age 14) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since study data never leaves the device and no account exists, no such collection takes place through normal use (COPPA).
11. Automated decision-making
No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
12. Security
Data that remains on your device is protected by your device's own security mechanisms. Communication with the purchase infrastructure is encrypted in transit (TLS).
13. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the app's data practices change. The current version is always available in the app under Settings → Privacy policy and on this website, with the date of the last revision shown above.
